March Challenge #21 [More Inspiration]

Welcome back to our March Challenge. We have a few more cards from our design Team to give you some inspiration. The theme of this month's challenge is *TREES* and the optional element is *BIRDS*.

It doesn't matter where you live or what season you are experiencing - it's always a good time to include trees in your your crafty project!


Sponged brown onto Kraft through a Weathered Wood - ARTplorations Stencil, 
stamped branches, needles, flowers, heat embossed other branches in gold, stamped Chickadee stamp & altered it to look like a Sparrow, applied homemade embossing paste through a Chevron Crazy - ARTplorations Stencil, added a die cut window & sentiment.


Clear gesso, watercolour pencils, stamped title


Distress markers, Distress Ink Pads, Zig CCRB Markers , Embossing and stencilling.

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #21 {Trees}

Welcome to a brand new challenge here at The Mixed Media Card Challenge! For our challenge this month, we've yet another simple theme: TREES, and optional element: BIRDS. So have a go at creating a mixed media card that follows the theme with or without birds. The team can't wait to see what beauties you'll be linking up!

1. Create a mixed media CARD based on the theme, with or without the optional element.
2. Display the challenge graphic on your blog post and link back to this challenge post.
3. You may enter as many times as you want, as long as each entry is different.
4. You may combine a maximum of 7 challenges (6 other challenges plus ours).
5. Submit your projects by March 25, 11:55 p.m. Pacific  time.

Two layers of mists on the background, resist tree with stencil and iridescent creative medium, stamping, ink and texture spray splatters, wood veneer details, doodling.


Water color smooshing/stenciling for background, sponged/stenciled birds, heat embossed branches, stamped leaves.


Stenciling with ink, stenciling with embossing paste, stamping and die cut vellum lace.


Background painted with Dylusions paints in shades of blue, black and white.  Chipboard tree colored with Distress paints. Bird cage colored with gold acrylic paint. Bird is gelatos.

Background with acrylic paints from Paper Artsy - Stencil and mask with my Silhouette Cameo (tree and birds) - Black Posca pen


Background created using a gelli plate and deli paper, Stamped over the deli paper the tree and some script, bird stamped with blue archival ink


Colored with gelatos, stenciled with Distress Inks and texture paste, Distress Spray Stain splatters for the background, washi tape and chipboard to finish off the look!


Rubber cement watercolor resist, tracing stencils, embellishments.


Embossing Powder(Heat Embossing), PITT Pen, Gelatos, Washi, Sticker Stitches, Sequins
